As a parent, one of the most fun things is to do your daughter’s hair. Wearing bows, beads, and headbands can get tiresome quickly though. Sometimes it’s nice to switch it up and style her hair in a fun, more permanent style. We’ve picked out 8 of the easiest hairstyles that can be done without much effort. Some can even be done in under 5 minutes!
Half Knots
A classic, this style is always a favorite. It looks perfect and intricate, but is super easy! Start by dividing the hair into two sections, one in the front and one in the back. Then use the elastic provided to secure them in place. Start with the front, take a small piece of hair, wrap it around and secure with a bobby pin beneath the knot. Then move onto the last section, wrap around and secure with another pin. You’re done!
French Braid Into Ponytail
This style is as quick as it is cute. To start, take a small section of hair near the front, divide it into three, and begin French braiding. Once you reach the nape, stop the braid and secure with an elastic. Gently tug the braid to make it appear thicker, then secure the remaining hair into a ponytail beside the braid. That’s it!
Fishtail Braid
This look is as stylish as it is simple! Start by splitting the hair into two even sections. Take a small piece from the outside of the left section, cross it over to the right section and put it in with the rest of the right section. Then take a tiny piece from the outside of the right section, bring it over and put it in with the left section. Continue in the same manner until you’ve reached the end. Secure with a hair tie and you’re done!
Messy Bun
This style is perfect for days when your little one just isn’t feeling like having her hair done. A messy bun is an easy, yet cute look. Gather the hair into a high ponytail, then use your fingers to twist it and secure with a hair tie. Once secured, use your finger to tug out a few strands for that “messy” look. You’re done!
Fauxhawk
A classic style, the fauxhawk is perfect for a day of play. Start by combing the hair into a ponytail and securing with an elastic. Then, divide the hair in the ponytail into three sections. Pull the center section up towards the sky and secure with a bobby pin. Do the same with the two remaining sections. Finally, spray a bit of hairspray to keep the style in place.
