What you need:
- Your favorite color of sharpies
- Gel nail polish
- Water
- A cup or other container
- Q-tips
- Top coat
First, select a cup or container and fill with a few inches of cold, clean water. Shake the cup a bit with your finger and then start drawing with your sharpies. Try to draw over top of the water and swirl around the lines. You can do different colors and experiment with designs. Once have the design you like, grab your gel polish.
Take a cotton swab and run it against the side of the cup or container, so that it picks up the design. Dab the swab against your nails and the design will transfer. Keep cleaning off the swab, and using a different part of the design, until your whole nail has been covered. To help the design spread smoothly, use rubbing alcohol. Have fun with it and use your imagination, it’s all up to you to decide what design you want to create on your nails.
Once the design is all done, you’re all set. Now, to finish off your masterpiece, apply a layer of topcoat to seal and protect your nails from water and dirt. Done! You can use q-tips to clean up any mistakes and the rubbing alcohol to prevent smudging.
